Thomas Paul Talbot Sr., passed away at his family home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was 92 years old.
Born September 26, 1929, he was raised in Baltimore, MD before relocating to Pasadena, Maryland. The son of the late James "Jonas" Talbot and Eliza Moore; Thomas was raised by his maternal aunt, Cecilia Moore, after his mother’s death, in 1940. He attended Bates High School in Annapolis, Maryland, earning his diploma and graduating in 1947.
September 28, 1950, Thomas married his beloved wife Mary Mints and had two children, Thomas Talbot Jr. (Charlotte Talbot) and Leonard Talbot Sr. (Phenon "Kim" Talbot). Thomas supported his family as a Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), bus driver, retiring after 25 years of service in 1995. As a dedicated member of the community, he remained active with 1300 Amalgamated Transit Union for many years and was a devoted member of Central Christ of Church, where he remained active until his death.
During his free time, Thomas enjoyed gardening, landscaping, tinkering on small engines and enjoying time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Lois Talbot, son; Leonard Talbot Sr; grandchildren: Troy Talbot, Leonard Talbot Jr., Stephanie Talbot, Kaylan Talbot, Trevor Talbot and Jamaul Jones, great grandchildren: Taylor Diggs, Phoenix Talbot, King Talbot and Natalie Tetteh, and a host of other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Jr., and siblings; Gossie, Emma, Beatrice, Victoria and John, and grandson, Paul Jones Jr.
