LaToya Chrystal Edmund

Latoya Chrystal Edmund, daughter of Emmard “Simon” Edmund and Natalie Edmund Kane was born January 7th, 1987 in Trinidad & Tobago. She was called home to glory on Thursday, August 19th, 2021.

Before migrating to the US in December 2001, Latoya attended San Juan Presbyterian Primary School, where most of her childhood friends still keep in touch. She also Barataria Junior Secondary School in Trinidad & Tobago, followed by Severna Park High School in MD where she made some more lifelong friends. Latoya loved to sing and always wanted to be an entertainer. In fact, her one wish was to become a one hit wonder on the charts. She loved to cook and would feed any and everyone that she would meet. She absolutely loved sitting in parks and would speak with anyone she met and always made them feel so welcomed. If you had the pleasure of crossing her path, she made you smile, she touched your heart, she supported you, she encouraged you, she even cussed you out, but for sure, she left you with loving memories!

Latoya was a beautiful soul, loving, bursting with energy, full of life, always giving and always forgiving. She has gone on to glory and is now at peace. And as much as we will miss her spark, her work here on earth is now finished! She received her blessings and was ushered into her heavenly father’s arms. No more tears, no more hurt and no more pain.

Those left to cherish her memory include: two sons, Sincere and Sebastian; one brother: D’Jevan; two sisters: Maria and De’Lacey; stepdad: Harry; stepmother: Mary; aunts: Brenda, Cheryl, Janice, Joycelyn, Rhonda, Anna and Jacqueline; uncles: Lenox, Steve, Donald, Wayne, Hugh, Clifford, Kenneth, Lawrence and Kenrick; cousins: Natasha, Petrina, Shania, Andre, Quan, Marvin, Shandell, Renata, Quincy, Veronica, David, Ashanti, Charlandra, Courtney, Sabrina, Kron, Kerneal, Kershel, Kerwin, Kern (deceased), Christopher, Rachel, Lois, Rebekah, Joseph, Anna, Kenny, Kiki, Ife, Chere, Michelle and host of other relatives and friends.
