On Monday, October 5, 2020 TYRONE SEBASTIAN ALEXANDER HART passed away at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. He was 68.
He was born on February 8, 1952 to the late John Hart and Margaret May Duckett in Maryland.
"Ty" as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Carver Vo Technical Institute in 1970. He continued his education at Coppin State College. He transferred to the University of Maryland where he enjoyed being a DJ for a local radio station. He graduated May 1975 as a University of Maryland Terrapin. Immediately following graduation Tyrone enlisted for 3 years in the United States Army.
He married Charissa Green on June 6, 1974 and 3 children were born to their union. Tanisha, Tyrone and Chanette. They remained married for the entirety of his life.
Tyrone worked since the age of 16 to assist in financing his education. His longest employment was with the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for over 33 years.(1980-2013). He was well liked as a Postal worker in the community of Cherry Hill and earned the nickname of "Speedy" for his efficient fast mail deliveries.
After leaving the post office he began enjoying his retirement, which afforded him more travel time. He traveled to many destinations but South Africa and Brazil became his favorites.
Tyrone loved to travel, sci-fi, Star Trek, a variety of music especially jazz, photography and searching for collectibles.He supported his wife Charissa's faith as a Jehovah Witness and enjoyed his association with her congregation and friends.
He took commitments seriously and was very dedicated to his life, family and work. A life changing injury caused him to become disabled. Although suffering through a myriad of health problems, Tyrone kept a smile.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Richard, Joseph, Michael; 1 sister: Frances; 1 neice: Donelle; 1 nephew: DeWitt and a caring friend: Quentin Stewart
He leaves in mourning his beautiful, dedicated, caring and loving wife, Charissa Hart; 2 beautiful daughters: Tanisha Diara Hart and Chanette Lanée Hart; 1 son: Tyrone Sebastian Hart Jr.(Charlene); 2 brothers: John, and Kaiser of NC(); 1 sister: Maria of VA; 3 granddaughters: Diara LaVonne Hart, Tijae Summer McClinton, Camrie Ty'Asia Hart; 3 great-grandsons: Tavon Antwon Douglas, Tyler Sebastian Douglas, Tyson Alexander Douglas; 3 nieces: Denise, Myesha and Shakera; 8 nephews: Frankie, Gregory, Joe Jr., Keith, Lynell, Mark, Michael, Richard, 3 sister-in-laws: Lyllis, Barbara and Debruah; 2 brother-in-laws: Tommy and Ronald; 3 Great friends: Eric Johnson (School), Albert Childs (Travel) and Shanun Yates (Work) and a host of other relatives and friends.
