Tracey Kimberly “Minky” Kane peacefully departed this life on May 29, 2026 in her home with her family. She was born to Janice Johnson and the late Attcus Kane Jr. on October 13, 1968.

Minky as she was affectionately known was educated in the public schools of Baltimore City. She worked various jobs in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County. She was very resourceful and enjoyed helping others.

Minky was Fearless, Confident, and never afraid of a battle. She and the Posse ran Cherry Hill, where she was well known. Minky loved hanging with her friends and having a good time. Minky was well known for her Creative Custom Designs; hats, cups, bathroom accessories, Hall UMC

Senior Choir Canes, Reverend Smith Dallas Cowboy cane and other items were Blinged Out to perfection. Minky’s house even won the Best House in the neighborhood in Brooklyn Park, she loved to decorate, especially her home. Minky loved creating gift baskets and providing Christmas gifts for children to pick out for their parents. She loved, loved, loved children, and would ensure they had bicycles during the Christmas holiday.

Minky also orchestrated food drives and collected and distributed items for the needy. You would often find Minky at the local Food Giveaways, Resource Fairs and other events, lending her time and talents, and she also enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. Minky loved to dress up as Minnie Mouse for events and yes, Greg was Mickey right by her side. She loved having cookouts and inviting family and friends just to fellowship and have a good time. Minky loved music and loved to dance, and she knew all the latest dances. Her favorite songs were “I Celebrate Me” by Inga Rose and Let Go and Let God by Xania Monet. Minky’s pride and joy was her grandson DaQuan. She loved and adored him.

Minky was preceded in death by her Father Attus Kane Jr., Bonus Father Albert Johnson, Grandson Naiheem Carter, Sister Darlene Moulden, Nieces Shanice Walls, Kia Hall and Son Darius Matthews.

Kane, Romaine Kane, Marsalle Harrison (Edward), Charlene Queen (Herbert), Rhonda Colbert (Taron), Uncles Harvey Raynor (Marilyn), and Andrew Kane, Aunts Elaine Kane, Claudia Craig, Sharon Wicks (Allen), Jackie Henson, Patricia Chase, Godmother Audrey Jackson, and host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends. She will truly be missed by her dear friends Patrice Raye, Morgan Rouse, Monica Johnson and “The Posse”.
