IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Hillard
Harris
May 1, 1951 – May 26, 2015
O bituary
Thomas Hillard Harris was born on May 1,1951 in Washington D.C. to the late James Harris and Mary Osborne. Thomas was raised in Baltimore City where he completed his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools and later took several college courses to advance himself.
Thomas loved many things especially his family. He was a protective big brother being the only boy with three sisters. He was a provider for his loved ones and a man with a heart of gold. Thomas would literally give you the clothes off his back if you would allow him too.
Thomas loved having and taking care of his dogs. He loved crabbing and fishing. As a young man in 1973, he went on to serve his country through the Navy.
Two years later on November 22,1975, he married the love of his life, Rebecca. Eighteen years later in 1993, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and he loved his "Boo Boo" with all his heart. Thomas and Rebecca were married for 39 years and in that time God allowed them to share memories that can never be erased.
Also in 1975, Thomas was Baptized and in 1993 he received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple Apostolic Church. As we all do, we stray away from time to time. But through it all, Thomas loved the Lord. With his sisters Carolyn and Jo Ann, he spent many mornings praying and reading the word over a cup of coffee. He will be missed as he added his own unique flavor to our lives.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Mary Osborne; his father, James Harris; his sister, Joyce Henson; his nephew. Ronnie and his great nephew, DeAndre.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Rebecca Harris "Becky"; his daughter, Tija Harris "Boo Boo"; his sisters, Carolyn Moore of Mobile, Alabama and Jo Ann Osborne of Baltimore, Maryland; two aunts, Ruth Dickerson ( husband: William)
and Shirley Henderson (husband: Joe) of Laurel, Maryland; two sister-in-laws, Yolanda Hurston and Patricia Dunnock; uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends
