Obituary

Theola Vertell Montgomery , daughter of the late Mozella Carolina Montgomery and Hudson Montgomery was born on September 7, 1939 in Manning, South Carolina. She was called home to be with the lord on May 15, 2016.

Theola accepted Christ at an early age, while a member of Hemingway Temple A.M.E Church in the community of Cherry Hill where she grew up and resided her whole life.

She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Douglass High School. Theola attended City Hospital Nursing School and earned her LPN Degree. She was employed at the Hospital for several years. She left the hospital to go to work at the United States Postal Service. "TV" as she was affectionately known by coworker and some family members retired after 25 years due to health issues.

Theola leave to cherish her memory: five nieces, Shawnda Briggs Harris (Rodney Sr.), Tracie Briggs, Yvette Waters, Yolanda Ellison and Michelle Johnson; one nephew, Michael Waters; five great-nieces Linnea, Mallory, Valance and Lyniesha, Tiphanie; six great-nephews: Alex, Howard Jr., Nate Jr., Derrick, Randy and Rodney III; two great-great- nieces and three great-great nephew; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
