Margaret Ann
Stagg
Aug 17, 1955 — May 2, 2026
Margaret A. Stagg, affectionately known and loved by many, entered eternal rest on May 2, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on August 17, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, Margaret lived a life overflowing with faith, compassion, strength, and unwavering love for God and for people.
Margaret was a devoted woman of faith whose life reflected beauty, holiness, and grace. A true intercessor and prayer warrior, she fervently believed in the power of God and encouraged everyone she encountered to keep the faith no matter what storms life may bring. Her favorite scripture, Isaiah 40:31, perfectly reflected the way she lived her life: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..."
Margaret did not simply speak words of faith she lived them daily through her kindness, generosity, and steadfast trust in God.
Margaret graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a reflection of her heart for understanding and helping others. She dedicated over 30 years of faithful service to the State of Maryland, retiring as a Manager for the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene. Through her career, she impacted countless lives with her wisdom, compassion, and leadership.
To know Margaret was to experience genuine love. She was bubbly, feisty, and unapologetically honest always speaking exactly what was on her mind with sincerity and heart. She possessed one of the most beautiful and humble spirits anyone could ever encounter. Selfless in every sense of the word, Margaret lived by the principle that if she had it, you had it too. Her home, her heart, and her hands were always open to those in need.
Margaret had a special gift for encouraging others. Whether through prayer, a heartfelt conversation, laughter, or a loving hug, she made people feel seen, loved, and strengthened. Her joy was contagious, her faith unwavering, and her love limitless.
She was preceded in death by her foster son, Antonio D. Alford, beloved sister, Bertha Mae Corbett, and her beautiful mother, Elizabeth Corbett, all of whom she cherished deeply. Margaret leaves to treasure her memory her loving children, Tomika D. Stagg and Floyd Stagg Jr.; her beloved siblings, Josephine Richardson, Willie Corbett, Mary Corbett, Betty Corbett, Debbie Lloyd, Wayne Lloyd, Veronica Lloyd, and Dwight Lloyd; her cherished God daughters, Pastor Kenise Pendleton and Minister LaShawn Worrell; along with a host of beautiful nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her love and light.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that Margaret's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, and perseverance. Her legacy will continue to live on through every prayer she prayed, every life she encouraged, and every heart she uplifted.
"Well done, thy good and faithful servant."
Margaret's love, laughter, wisdom, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed but forever remembered
