Obituary
Lillian Anne Dailey Eldridge , a faithful follower of Christ went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2015 after a brief stay at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late William H. Matthews and Edna Irene Dailey.
Lillian began attending St. Mark United Methodist Church during her childhood. As an adult, she became a member of the Upper Room Christian Center in Severn, Maryland. There she served as a stewardess and sang on the choir for a number of years. She was currently a member of Elkridge Christian Community Church in Elkridge, Maryland. One of her joys was attending the annual St. Mark U.M.C. Women's Retreat.
Lillian attended Anne Arundel County Public Schools and graduated from Arundel High School, where she also played baseball. She continued her love for this sport and played for the Community Team.
Lillian was united in Holy Matrimony with Donald M. Eldridge on February 14, 1968, and they were blessed with a devoted daughter, four lovely grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Among her hobbies were reading, dining out, shopping for jewelry and lavish clothing, and taking part in many other interests and endeavors. She thoroughly loved traveling and was blessed to visit many places around the Globe such as, Hawaii, Alaska, Bermuda, Trinidad, Europe, including the Vatican in Rome, Austria and Switzerland among others.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted and beloved husband, Donald; a caring and kindhearted daughter, Denean Burrell; a son-in-law, Nguyen Burrell, Sr.; four (4) loving grandchildren, Jerrikka, Jordyn, Israel and Nguyen Burrell and a beautiful great granddaughter, Journee; three (3) sisters, Jeanette Jones, Lorraine Eldridge (Richard), and Dorothy Dailey; three (3) brothers, Jack Dailey (Audrey), Sterling Dailey, and Eugene Dailey (Mary); three godchildren, Shawn and Troy Dailey, and Uriah Johnson; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; three special relatives, Diane Jones, Valerie Hill, and Judy Eldridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lillian was a giving person and will be forever loved and cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
