Howard Gregory Waters, the eldest son of Robert Henry Waters and Marie Elizabeth Truitt Waters was born at Salisbury hospital in Wicomico County Maryland. During his early childhood, Gregory was raised in Princess Anne county spending lots of time on his grandfather's farm who named him Pluto!. The family moved to Baltimore City when he was 9 years old and relocated to the Morris Hill community in Anne Arundel county in 1968, where he attended public schools.

Gregory worked briefly at H&S Bakery in his late teens, before starting his 30 year career at the Baltimore gas and electric company. He worked as an underground electrical installer, because he was not found of heights. Gregory would often point out job sites as we traveled around the area. He worked in the early development of Security Square Mall, the downtown section of the light rail, and many areas of BWI airport. He also performed the same type of duties at Ferguson trenching company before permanately retiring in 2013 after cardiac complications.

Rod, as he was called by family and friends because of his love for fast cars, was popular, fun loving and always near the excitement of the Morris Hill community. He could often be seen on his riding lawnmower cruising the neighborhood. Rod's frequent destination while riding the lawnmower was the Forest Bar(IYKYK).

Gregory loved to fish, hunt and spend time on his father's boat on the Bay. One of his many fishing holes was at the Blackwater Nature reserve in Cambridge, Maryland. He also loved to fish and crab on vacation whenever possible in Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia. Gregory enjoyed gardening immensely. He definatelty had a green thumb with plants flowers and vegetables and loved sharing his produce with those he loved.

He recently started attending Kingdom Agenda Church and Ministries in Glen Burnie shephard by Pastor Candace Owens. He enjoyed the praise and worship team, warm embraces from his new church family and listening in on the committed couples prayer line.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Marie and his brother Ronald Barry Waters. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 28 years Cynthia Marie and his sons Cordell Gregory Waters and Kevin Howard Waters. Two sisters Bertha Louise Nutter and Sharon Maria Wainwright (Ralph) brother Robert Gary Waters and cousin Butch Waters(Mamie) who was like a brother. Three sister in laws Arlene Moore, Debra Wright(James), Charisma Wright and a brother in law Reginald Wright (Tanika). Nieces Shirvonda, Whitney, Tiffany(Danielle), Mearesea, and Mealenea (Jeffrey). Grand nieces Bre'Anna and Malorie and grand nephew Darrin. There is a vast host of relatives and friends that will remember him with love.
