Henrietta C. Rice, the loving daughter of Dorothy Price Jones and George Jones, was born on February 23, 1961, in Fort Meade, Maryland. She departed this life on January 25, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was the youngest of two children by Dorothy Jones.

She attended Carter G. Woodson Elementary School and High School #180 in Cherry Hill, Maryland, and then attended Brooklyn Park High School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland where she graduated in 1980.

Henrietta worked in the hospitality industry for many years. She also spent her time as a loving caregiver to her grandmother and mother in their golden years. In addition to being a loving caregiver, she also enjoyed spending time with family and friend and loved hosting big cookouts to bring everyone together in love, laughter, and fellowship. She also loved flower gardening.

In 2017, Henrietta joined Community Baptist Church and was baptized by Reverend Dr. Milton N. Lemon. She sang on the Gospel Chorus, regularly attended Young Adult Bible Classes, and was a member of the Pastor Aides.

Mourning Henrietta's passing are her life partner, Michael Cooper; brother, Joseph Haamid-Bentley; two uncles, Thomas Gainers and Larry Austin; aunt, Nellie Jones; and, two goddaughters, Tawnekia Spencer and Keatra Owens. She also leaves a host of cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memories.
