Obituary

On Friday, July 24, 2026, Glendrict James Frazier, Sr., affectionatelyknown as “Glen,” peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease.

Glen was born April 9, 1943, in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, to Elizabeth Wash Steele and Henry Lippitt. At 18 he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served with honor for over 20 years. In 2022 he shared his Vietnam experiences in a four-part YouTube series, preserving his story for future generations.

After retiring from the Army, Glen continued serving for over 20 years as a federal civilian employee — a Property Book Officer at Kimbrough

Ambulatory Care Center, Fort Meade — earning the respect of colleagues throughout his career.

Glen married his childhood sweetheart, Audrey Frazier, and together they raised two children, Glennae and Glendrict Jr. He later married Shelia Raynor Frazier, who preceded him in death.

An avid reader with an insatiable curiosity about history, religion, politics, and current events, Glen loved a good debate — and usually had already done his homework. Music, especially jazz, was one of his great passions, and he always seemed to have the right lyric or quote for the moment. He loved drawing and painting, fishing from his own boat, and fine automobiles. By nature an introvert, he was kind, loving, fiercely intelligent, and never afraid to tell you exactly what was on his mind.
