George Sellman III, a man of profound ambition, integrity, and courage, passed away on May 6, 2026.

George grew up in the Cherry Hill community; he was instilled with values of hard work and dedication by his resilient mother, Betty Gladden. These early years shaped the charismatic leader many came to know.

George enjoyed a distinguished career as a professional high-rise window cleaner, where his courage and work ethic were on full display as he navigated the city's skyline. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Betty Gladden and George Sellman II.

George leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy his devoted children: Latasha Gilmore, George Sellman IV (wife Joneice), Justin George Sellman (wife Zelena), Charnelle Carter, Joseph Sellman, and Jana Ventura; and his close friend and brother, Anthony.

He is also remembered with deep love by the many cousins who grew up beside him, supported him, laughed with him, and now miss him dearly.

His legacy further lives on through his amazing grandchildren: Ja'mel, Gabrielle, Ryann, Diop (DJ, Georden, Georsey, Ariel, Adriel, Asher, Amaris, Cayden, Darian, De'Miyah, and Cayanna.
