O bituary

Eucoladio Valentine Raphael (Chico) was born on February 14, 1927 to the late Gulio and Carlosa Raphael in Netherlands Antiles.  On June 18, 2015, God took our Angel home.

Chico attended public school in the Netherlands.   He was one of seven children. In 1951 Chico enlisted in the United States Army as  welder and fought in the Korean War in 1952. Chico was honorably discharged In 1953. He was employed at Baltimore Gas Electric Company as a welder in 1954 retiring in 1994 after 40 years of service.

In 1960 Chico married Juanita Weatherspoon (Rhue) out of this union a child was born, Jacquelyn Raphael.

Chico loved to go to the race track and he loved to dine with family and friends. Chico always smiled and loved to be around his family. He brought unspeakable joy to those that he knew and for this he will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory six children Jacquelyn, Benjamin, Jerome Sr., Valerie, Deidra and Melissa; two brothers, Sergio (Netherlands) and Lipeo (Amsterdam); eleven grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. He cherished his Baby Bird (Makenize) and a host of other relatives and friends.
