IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Anthony
Hamilton
July 15, 1957 – June 8, 2015
O bituary
Charles Anthony Hamilton was born on July 15, 1957 to the late Pierce Hamilton and Mary Hamilton in Germany.
Charles married the late Pamela Hamilton and from this union came three beautiful daughters. After which, he met Janie McLeod and from this relationship came two more lovely daughters. In 1996, Charles met Grochelle Hamilton and they married in 2010 and remained inseparable from the beginning. Charles' family continued to grow with two sons and one more daughter.
Charles received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Charles grew up in Edmondson Village and was known to many as "Ham". To know Charles was to love him. Charles loved to play chess, cards, shoot craps, smoke cigarettes; he loved the Ravens and also loved to clean. Charles taught and showed everyone that he came in contact with the true meaning of unconditional love.
Charles worked for J. Norman Geipe in his earlier years of his life. Also he was employed with Mac Recycling as its manager for many years. Prior to his illness, Charles was self-employed in providing custodial services and employed with Chick-fil- A as their star maintenance man. In October when we received word of his illness, Charles' concern was 'who is gonna mop the floors?' Charles would help anybody he came in contact with and did just that all the way to the end.
Charles accepted Christ at a young age and rededicated his life and joined Life Church Ministries.
Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents Guston and L. Pauline McLaughlin and Aunt/Godmother Annie Fleming.
He leaves to mourn: mother, Mary; wife, Grochelle; seven children, Danielle (Shaun), Janine 'Sugar Bear' (Donta), Chana 'Mouse' (Stewart), Shawnise, Tyese 'Tiger' (Jermaine), Michael Jr., Antoine and Candice 'Apple' (Joseph); one sister, Jacqueline; two brothers, Vincent (Rhonda) and Guston; twenty grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one nephew, Lolando (Rochelle); four nieces, Latarsha, Shavonna, Montressa and ShaNea; five sister-in-laws and four brother-in-laws;
Charles' fatherly spirit adopted many other daughters and grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn a special nephew/grandson Gregory and a host of other relatives and close friends.
