Andres August Stamp

April 24, 1949 – June 4, 2026

Andres August Stamp, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on April 24, 1949, in Panama City, Panama, Andres was the son of Jose Lester Stamp and Genetta Stamp-Kirton. He was one of five siblings and carried throughout his life a deep love for family, faith, and learning.

A highly intelligent, proud, and accomplished Electrical Engineer, Andres pursued his education at Howard University, where he earned two Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering. Through God's grace, he built a distinguished career that allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United States and around the world. He took great pride in his work, earning the respect of colleagues and all who knew him for his expertise, dedication, and professionalism.

For the past 25 years, Andres called Elkridge home. He was a devoted man of God whose faith guided every aspect of his life. He was known for his loving heart, unwavering discipline, strong character, and dedication to his family. At the same time, he possessed a playful spirit, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

Andres had a great appreciation for music and found happiness in sharing laughter, helping others, and inspiring those he encountered. His optimism, kindness, and genuine care for people left a lasting impact on family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gerda; and his six children, Andres II, Adrian, Ursula, Angelo, Rooney, and Obed; as well as his siblings, extended family, and many dear friends.

Andres's legacy of faith, love, wisdom, and service will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he rests in the presence of the Lord he faithfully served.

Philippians 4:6-7"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
