Little did we know that Da’Vontae obeyed the words of Jesus as found in Mark 14:41; “...it is enough, the hour has come…”
Da’Vontae D. Ziegler was born on August 10, 1999 inAnnapolis, Maryland. On Friday, March 6, 2015 Da’Vontae received his call to his heavenly home to be with the Lord.
Da’Vontae received his education at Freetown Elementary in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Da’Vontae attended St. James, New Jerusalem, Out Reach Deliverance Mission.
Da’Vontae moved to Tennessee with his Uncle and Aunt, Glenn and Amelia and received further education at Boys Prep and Smith and Craighead School. He furthered his education in the Metro Davidson County Public School System and attended Hunters Lane Comprehensive High School as a Freshman.
In Tennessee, Da’Vontae attended Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Bobby A. Leggs, Sr. where he was baptized and received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
Da’Vontae sang on the Youth Choir. He loved to play football, listen to music and going to the studio to Rap. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friend.
Da’Vontae leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marita Griswould; uncle and aunt, Glen and Amelia Griswould; brothers, Da’Shawn Payne, Da’Metrius Griswould and Darlwin Jackson; grandparents, Marita Lawrence and Major Lawrence; Norman Griswould and Robin Griswould; Reverend Bobby (Elaine) Leggs of Nashville, Tennessee; great grand parents, Barbara and Leslie Moore; aunts, Freda, Goldie, Candy, Tia and Missy of Glen Burnie, Maryland; uncle, Darryl of Glen Burnie, Maryland; devoted friends, Michael, Madison, Jaelin, Shae, May, Tyree, Onion, Jaron and many, many other friends, coaches, neighbors and a host of other relatives.
